Donor Art Solution: After meeting with local artists and galleries, DAS created a selection of suggested artists and images to review with the Medical Center Foundation, the art committee and the donors. Through additional research, follow up meetings and diligent donor involvement, the proposed artwork was modified to include donor favorite Georgia wildflowers, as well as an image of a camellia whose class and phylum were named after a beloved donor’s family member. The donors were pleased that the final selections included both a personal touch, as well as a family legacy. |

Donor Art Challenge: To engage the donor family and local artists in the creation of an art gallery that would become a gift to the community as it continually offers patients, visitors and staff members spectacular views of the natural beauty found in Northeast Georgia. The content of the six-floor multimedia original art gallery was to appeal to a variety of viewers while remaining both personally pleasing and emotionally representative of the donor’s family and Georgia as they knew and loved it. |
