Art Challenge: To personify and reinforce the existing branding campaign through imagery that both depicted the high level of expert care provided and reflected the Northeast Georgia community served by the hospital.
Art Solution: Strategically placed stock photography images were placed in high profile public spaces in combination with decidedly feminine views of nature to help both visually reinforced NGHS’s existing Women & Children branding campaign “No two are the same,” and represent the female patient population.
Art Program Components:
3 Commissioned Donor Sculptures by local artist 2 Purchased Kinetic Donor Sculptures 1 Original Commissioned Quilt 8 Commissioned NICU Portraits of local graduates 12 Branding images to support campaign, “No two are the same” 105 Stock photography/published images
Donor Art: Niches in the main waiting room on both floors provided an opportunity for dimensional donor art. For the LDR floor art, committee members wanted elegant, contemporary, representational, inspirational and beautifully feminine art to personify the new women and children’s pavilion. It was imperative to find artwork that all women could both identify with and appreciate its beauty. Local artist, Robert Kelly’s contemporary abstracted figurative work was the solution. Three female figurative pieces were selected and DAS worked with the artist to determine size, and finish tones to best compliment the interior finishes.
